VGMA has learnt some lessons recently with what happened to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy and we know VGMA is a board of human beings and each of the board members is entitled to have favorites.
But since Fixthecountry movement came on, One major thing it has taught us so far is to call a spade a spade and not big spoon.
Some of us have been blindfolded with favoritism and we’re unable to say the truth when it needs most.
Who wins the VGMA Rapper of the year? My answer to this question is first to rephrase the question to ‘Who deserves the VGMA Rapper of the year award’ and so far, it should be Amerado Burner. Few reasons being that he’s been active, consistent and Working. He has the numbers and has managed to mount more than 20 stages despite the Pandemic.
I’m writing this because VGMA is a serious Award Scheme that both its positive and negative effects directly affect the artist, his management and his career not to talk about his or her mental health.
This is the reason why I started this Article with the lessons VGMA had learnt over the years. Being bias and switching winners have been the major cause of some these lessons and to me it is going to happen Again.
Bisa Kdei, Strongman, Guru and Patapaa were cheated and some way some how, it took a bad effect on their careers. I hope Amerado isn’t taking this Award serious because he’s going to be disappointed.
For me. I’m throwing my support for the Younger K.A.
